Professor Trousil completed her Ph.D. in experimental physics at Washington University in Saint Louis in 2002.  Her current research interests are in the area of applied mathematics, including Fourier and numerical methods and modeling interesting systems in physics, engineering, and medicine.  Having developed an active-learning introductory physics curriculum at Washington University, Professor Trousil is enjoying the opportunity to apply student-centered, active-engagement pedagogies in her mathematics courses at Skidmore.
