Job / Internship / Job Shadowing Listing Form, please note that any field with a * is a required field

At Skidmore College, students participate in both paid and unpaid internships. Students may be eligible to receive academic credit for internships which is coordinated through the student's academic department. Students may complete an internship in the summer, fall, and spring semesters, or even during winter break. As an employer, it is your responsibility to adhere to the Federal government's requirements for unpaid internships, whether or not academic credit is awarded by an educational institution. All for-profit organizations should review the U.S. Department of Labor's Internships and the Fair Labor Standard's Act listed on the U.S. Department of Labor's website to learn about the six criteria the government uses in determining if an internship must be paid.

As an employer, you may also be interested in reviewing The National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) Position Statement: Unpaid Internships.

PLEASE NOTE:  Positions will be listed in Skidmore My CDC Account. Alumni listings will also be posted in the Skidmore College Career Connections LinkedIn Group, and distributed via email to students and/or alumni.
