Professor Szabo joined the department as a visiting assistant professor in 2015. She teaches courses in calculus, linear algebra, quantitative reasoning, mathematical modeling, and differential equations. Professor Szabo is a first-generation college student and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts, and a master's degree and Ph.D. in mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Prior to coming to Skidmore, Professor Szabo was a visiting assistant professor at West Point and Bard College. Professor Szabo's research interests include mathematical biology and network science.
