Professor Dimopoulos is a scholar-practitioner whose teaching and research examine innovation, entrepreneurship, and human development as pathways to personal, organizational, and societal transformation. Her primary teaching interests include entrepreneurship, innovation, social enterprise, leadership and experiential learning. She is committed to helping students develop entrepreneurial mindsets through applied experiential learning experiences that connect theory with practice.

Drawing upon more than two decades of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, and educator, she integrates real-world problem solving, design thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration into the classroom. She works closely with students on entrepreneurial ventures, innovation projects, business plan development, and community-based initiatives that address social and economic challenges. Her commitment to experiential learning has led to collaborative projects with entrepreneurs, designers, policymakers, and global leaders, creating opportunities for students to engage with innovation in diverse contexts.

Her research explores the intersections of entrepreneurship, innovation, social enterprise, women's empowerment, leadership, and global human development. Her work focuses on how individuals and communities cultivate self-agency through education, entrepreneurial activity, and social innovation. She has conducted research in underserved communities in India and other global settings, examining entrepreneurship as a mechanism for empowerment, equity, and sustainable development. Additional research interests include entrepreneurial ecosystems, mindful leadership, and the role of innovation in addressing complex social challenges.

As a lifelong learner and explorer, she embraces life and spending time with her husband and three children, two Doodle pups (Dharma and Bambi) and cats, Sophia and Miles. You may find her kayaking on Saratoga Lake, on a yoga mat, meditating in a cave or working with aspiring entrepreneurs to bring their visions to life while building community and economic development.
