Bo Anolani Brinton joins the Skidmore College Department of Dance as Visiting Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2026. A choreographer, educator, and emerging scholar, Bo brings a decade of professional performance experience with José Mateo Ballet Theatre, San Diego Ballet, BodyVox, and Dance Kaleidoscope. His creative work has been nominated for a Princess Grace Award in Choreography and presented at MADCO’s Dare to Dance Festival, with additional presentations by Dance Kaleidoscope and BodyVox.
Bo holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Arizona, where he developed his research framework, Embodied Liberation Pedagogy, integrating somatic practice, queer theory, and critical inquiry into classical and contemporary training. He teaches across ballet, modern, and jazz, emphasizing the versatility required of today’s emerging artists.
At Skidmore, Bo will teach ballet and modern technique, choreograph for the department concert season, and advise student projects.
