Residence Hall & Apartment Teams
The Area Coordinator (AC) is a full-time live-in professional staff member who resides in one of the residence halls or apartment villages. The AC supervises the Resident Assistants in their residential area. The AC assists residents with their development and out of the classroom experience while at college. In addition to the supervision, the AC works in the Office of Residential Life, sharing responsibility of the daily operations of the entire Skidmore residential community.
The Resident Assistant (RA) is an upper-class student who resides in a designated neighborhood within an apartment village or who resides on a designated floor within a residence hall. RAs are integral to the general growth and welfare of each individual and community as a whole. RAs serve as peer role models for their fellow students, while acting as liaisons between their residents and the college administration.
