Who should attend EXCEL?
The program is ideal for those looking to start or expand cleantech and energy-efficiency businesses in New York State, as well as executives who want to deepen their knowledge base and bolster their networks. In addition, veterans with substantial leadership experience, operations and sustainability managers, technical sales people and both graduate and undergraduate students with a demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship will benefit greatly from participation.

When is EXCEL?
The summer boot camp program takes place at Skidmore College July 31-August 5, 2016. Participants will return to the Skidmore campus for a capstone winter retreat weekend in January of 2017.

Tuition, Fees, and Accommodations
The total cost to attend EXCEL is $3,000. This includes tuition, on-campus housing and meals. For those not staying on campus, the fee is $2,300. Veterans and those participating in NYSERDA-sponsored incubators will receive a 20% discount. Tuition for multiple attendees from the same organization as follows: first attendee pays full tuition, second and third attendees pay for room and board.

EXCEL participants may stay on campus in Skidmore’s beautiful  Sussman townhouse apartments. Downtown Saratoga Springs offers many hotel, motel, and B & B options as well.

All lunches and three dinners are included with tuition. Breakfast will be available for purchase on campus. There will be opportunities for offsite dining in Saratoga Springs and participants should plan to cover their own expenses.

More than a convenient location just 3 hours from Syracuse or New York City, Saratoga Springs is a great place to vacation.EXCEL has time built-in to enjoy and explore the area and spouses/partners are welcome. Saratoga is alive with history, culture and attractions. From the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to the National Museum of Dance and the Saratoga National Battlefield, this picturesque Victorian city truly has something for everyone. Saratoga is known for world-famous mineral springs and is home to a great selection of spas, mineral baths and wellness centers. Also plentiful are nature, biking and hiking trails, fishing spots, tennis courts and golf courses. Broadway, Saratoga's main street, features an abundance of restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, art galleries, music venues and more. The Saratoga racetrack season, which runs for seven weeks in the summer, is the oldest continually operating thoroughbred horseracing track in the United States. How many people will the program accept in 2016?
EXCEL is competitive and will accept up to 25 participants.
