Skidmore alumni, parents and friends of the College will be flocking to campus to help host Career Jam on Friday, October 17.

Students are encouraged to stop by Career Jam on Friday, October 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. on the second floor of Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, where more than 60 alumni, parents, and friends of the College representing a wide range of careers will offer informal networking and advice to Skidmore students.

Now in it’s sixth year, Career Jam is the largest and most diverse on-campus networking event for students.

“The most important thing I took away from Career Jam was the importance of networking," says Isabelle Young '15, who attended the Jam last year. "The Skidmore community is eager and willing to help. I was extremely lucky finding a professional in the field I was interested in, and with him willing to work with me, I was able to find a great summer internship."

Career Jam is a partnership of the Career Development Center (CDC), the Parents Council, and Alumni Affairs.  Other CDC programs include Graduate and Professional School Expo, Living the Liberal Arts, Job Shadowing, and the Multicultural Speed Networking Reception.
