THE MFS MINOR

Linking the theoretical with applied learning and preparing students to make the choices required of informed, responsible citizens in a 21st-century context.

Declaring a Media & Film Studies Minor

Students minoring in Media & Film Studies generally declare their intentions by the end of their sophomore year.  If you  wish to become a minor you should,

  • Consult your academic advisor of your major (note: you must declare a Major before declaring a Minor.)
  • Email the Media & Film Studies Program Director to discuss your own path to fulfill the minor.
  • File a Declaration of Minor form with the Registrar’s Office and the MFS Program Director.

As you proceed through the minor, you will work closely with your advisor and the Media and Film Studies Program Director to select courses that form a meaningful and coherent individual curriculum.
