The Saratoga Film Forum is a not-for-profit arts organization that offers the film-loving community of our upstate region an opportunity to enjoy and discuss high-quality films and other electronic media productions at a downtown venue in Saratoga Springs.
- reviewing film selections at major international film festivals, and creating/maintaining a database of independent film festival screenings
- tracking film release dates for higher priority films that we are interestied in showing
- tracking new documentaries and categorizing them topic/theme. (We have a number of categories that our audience really likes, including these on the Environment, Dance, Health Care, Education, Food, and Sustainability.
- helping us build a database of community and cultural organizations to which we can reach out for film publicity.
- publicity assistance, especially with social media
- writing film reviews and promo's for our screenings
- member relations
- new event development/ideation
- basic publicity on scheduled films
This list is not exhaustive, but it gives a flavor of the range of opportunities with an SFF internship. If you have other thoughts about structuring an internship to make it a more valuable experience for students, we are open to that as well.
