Educational and Development Cancellation Policy

Please note: Although there is currently no participation fee for programs offered or delivered through Human Resources, due to the significant cost of these programs, a no-show class cancellation fee of $100 will be applied if you register but fail to cancel without 48 hours notice (given within the work week) or fail to attend the session without any notification. This fee will automatically be charged to your department's budget.

Often, many of our programs reach their maximum attendance capacity and Skidmore community members, who were unable to register for a program, ask to be placed on a wait list. When you are unable to attend a program, providing us with 48 hours notice during the work week will allow us to fill your slot with someone on the wait list.

It is the practice of Human Resources to send out participant reminder notices prior to the 48 hour notice period.  If at the time you receive the participant reminder notice, you are aware you will not be able to attend the program, please notify the Training Coordinator in Human Resources.

For any further information about the Educational and Development Cancellation Policy, please contact Human Resources with any questions.
