Skidmore and MCS Networks Home PageWelcome to the network home page. This site provides information and other help on using the Skidmore campus network and the Mathematics and Computer Science (MCS) servers and labs. The Skidmore Network pages provide help in connecting to the campus network and include information and links that help users understand the network and how to use it. Many of the resources (e.g. the campus mail server) found on the network require a valid user account. See the Skidmore Help Desk and IT pages for more information. The MCS networks are used by students enrolled in mathematics or computer science courses and by faculty in the department. The primary site, MCS1, is actually a folder on the datastor server and provides many of the resources needed by students in the department's courses. This is also the place to retrieve handouts from professors and to submit files (assignments, projects, etc.). Note that use of class folders (e.g. handougt and submit) are being phased out. The Mathematics and Computer Science Department manages two computer labs, the MCS Lab (Windows platform), and the Linux Lab. Use the menu above to access the pages of this site. |
