Copying or Converting Foreign Tapes
- Turn on Panasonic AG-W1. Power key is on the upper left
corner “Operation”
- Insert original foreign tape into the Panasonic AG-W1.
- Always make sure original tape is REW. If not, press REW.
- Select the input format (NTSC, PAL, or SECAM). The switches
are just below where original tape is inserted.
- If original tape is American or Japanese,
set to NTSC. Use this setting for copying (i.e.
not converting) videos.
- If original tape is European, set to PAL
- If original tape is French, set to SECAM
- Select output on Panasonic AG-W1. (These are the buttons
on the lower part of the machine).
- Press NTSC if converting from PAL or SECAM.
- If copying from NTSC, select either NTSC
or THROUGH
- Insert blank tape into TV-VCR unit. Be sure that the tape
is long enough. Films longer than 120min. will require our longer cassettes.
- Set TV-VCR to channel LINE
- Press REC/Time on TV-VCR
- Press Play in Panasonic AG
- Copying or converting starts. Time to copy or convert is same as the tape
length.
- When finished, press REW and then Eject
on take out the original tape.
